Attic Salt is a DTC fashion brand, headquartered in Gurgaon, India. Started in 2017, Attic Salt specializes in delivering expertly designed garments that offer affordable luxury. It aims to become a top aspirational brand in India and worldwide. Setting itself apart from fast-fashion brands, it offers sizes ranging from XS to 5XL. 

The brand’s core values include high-quality fabrics, inclusive sizing, and ethical production. They make luxury accessible through thoughtful purchasing, no-waste limited edition collections, and ethical production. What sets them apart from the competition is their commitment to bringing local artisans' work to the forefront of modern fashion.  

The Challenge

Attic Salt has over 100,000 followers across all their social media platforms. They use Instagram to improve brand awareness, showcase their products, and engage both new and returning customers. Instagram functions as their virtual storefront and facilitates organic sales.

However the actual e-commerce transactions occur on their Shopify website. Here, they rely on Meta Ads to direct prospective customers to specific product pages on their website for purchase. So, the strategy is-

  • Instagram for relationship-building and organic sales
  • Website for the actual transaction, and 
  • Meta Ads for paid customer acquisition

Meta Ads is where they were facing challenges like

  1. Time-consuming editing
    Manual video editing is a labour-intensive process. Each new ad creative required extensive time and resources, hampering their ability to create multiple ads quickly.
  2. Limited testing and iterations
    Since they couldn’t generate many ad creatives, they couldn’t test and optimize their ad performance. This led to suboptimal campaign performance. 
  3. Low ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)
    Insufficient testing due to a lack of ad creatives led to lower ROAS and a low ROI.
